Heritage certificate
I got my Certificate. Apart from them mis-identifying my car as a Mk I Saloon, here is what I found.
I have the right colors of Damask Red and Whitehall Beige. Happy about that.
My VIN is one digit off. It has an S in place of a 5. I may see if the DMV will change that for me.
It appears that the engine that (was) in the car was the original one. Almost wish I'd kept it in the shed. Oh, well.
The car was originally delivered to H.A. Hamshaw Ltd. in Leicester, where it was also registered. I do have the original number plates.
And the coolest thing is that it left the factory on my 9th birthday, 15 May 1968. Now how's that for a coincidence?

Re: Heritage certificate
Well done! I know that most US DMV's tended to mislabel cars with a 5 rather than an S when they listed the cars in their systems. I had a '65 Cooper that had that problem.
I wanted a Heritage certificate for my car, but since it is a New Zealand car they can't do anything for me

I asked for one too, but they told me they do not have a database for prototypes and special production vehicles.
