63 Elf for Sale
Hi,
We have finally had to call it a day on our Mk2 Elf. We are giving first shout to the Register to see if anyone would like to take it on. All the original items are available including the trim and tyres with a 1961 date stamp! It comes with the original engine (dismantled) and gearbox (complete) as extras, as it is now fitted with an A+ engine and rod change box.
The chassis and subframes are original with no signs of serious corrosion. The only corroded panel with a 10mm hole is the front O/S wing just below the headlight. The car comes with the original number plate 44 SCV valued between £2000 - £3500. The last MoT was twenty years ago and the car has only done 23,000 miles with 3 owners hence all the original bits. We have fitted a lot of new items including brakes, clutch, core plugs etc.
The electrics are converted to negative earth with an alternator but the dynamo and voltage regulator are part of the bundle. Two wicker picnic baskets designed to fit under the rear seats are also available, I can’t seem to find any reference to these anywhere as standard fit or optional extras.
The car drives, and we don't think it needs much for an MoT, but needs more work to make it useable. We are looking for £1500 (based on the number plate), offers considered.

Grumpy,
I'm just working on my Wife - at the moment she says I don't need another one, but I think a matching pair would be great!
Have you any pictures of the interior?
Thanks, Jon.

Hi Jon,
Not at the moment but I'll get some. It is at Pete's house where we have been working on it. Should be tomorrow.

Interior
Needs tidying as the famous goes. The dash has been loosely reassembled for the photos, it does fit properly. It was removed to replace the speedo bulbs and cable. There is also a heater removed for access.

Re: 63 Elf for Sale
Grumpy,
Thanks for the extra photos. As much as I'd like to give a good home to another Elf, I can't justify spending £1500 on it.
I hope that it ends up at a good home, and that you don't have too much hassle if it ends up on eBay (god forbid!).

Not sure, probably just a set of second hand (in date) tyres, and a set of wiper rubbers. Unfortunately, neith Pete (injured) or myself (death threat from wife) can spend any more time on it. Are you local to come and have a look? (Hampshire)

Re: 63 Elf for Sale
I am not aware of any welding having been done on it, there is none mentioned on the MoT slips we have, but I'll check when I am down at the garage. The exhaust is a single piece, not in sections so may be original as well. It is on E. Bay for 10 days but if it doesn't sell we will consider offers. Neill

Well done on the eBay sale!
I'm gald you got what you wanted for it. I might have made a cheeky offer if it hadn't gone, but I couldn't have got to £1500!
No tears when it's picked up, you'll have to be brave!

Cheers Jono, E.Bay may say sold but we don't have the money yet! If it all goes horribly wrong I'll post on here again.
