Question on Grill Alignment

Post  dansElf on Wed Jul 04, 2012 2:11 am

Hello,

I've got a question on the alignment of my front grill on my Elf. The grill sticks out (it's kind of buck toothed - like a chipmunk), and try as I might I can't get it to sit more flush to the front panel... here's an image of what I'm talking about...

Have anyone else had this issue? I don't think the grill is bent.... And the bonnet seems relatively well aligned.....

Your help is much appreciated.

Cheers,
Daniel

I think it's not so much the bonnet as the front panel. If it's been replaced at some point with a non-original piece, it's probably flatter in the center than it should be. That actually looks like a pretty reasonable gap. I think mine sticks out more than that.
You might just about be able to see the gap in this picture.

It might show up a bit better here.
