HORNET MK111 VENTILATION EYEBALL

Post  patanddavid2000 on Mon Feb 18, 2013 3:38 pm

My 1967 Wolseley Hornet is having a major restoration this year. I am desperatly looking for a plastic ventilation eyeball. Has anyone any idea where I might find one, please?

I would check with Nick at http://www.min-e-bitz.com/ He has found me some rare Elf bits in the past.
If you need the housing, Gordon has them new at http://www.totalrepellents.co.uk/minibits/mkiiieyeball.htm

Many thanks for your advice. I have bought the housing from Catmint, but unfortunately Nick wasn't able to help with the "eyeball". The acutal eyeball is ok, it is the bakelite ring that it fits into which is cracked. Do you know of anyone who can repair bakelite?

If it is just cracked and you aren't missing any bits, I think a clear epoxy would be the best way to repair it. There are lots of bakelite repair options if you look on google or youtube.
