I think the Persian Blue colour looks fantastic. Very good choice. I've shown your pictures to my Mrs, her Mini is due a respray, I'm afraid she may choose the same colour Shocked

Its back home

Post  Stuie.91 on Fri Apr 11, 2014 11:21 pm

Finally after a long wait for the paint shop to finally buff and polish the car it is back home to finish off putting it back together.

So started by giving it a bit of a clean to get rid of all the body shop dust. Got sound deadening in and started to get the dash hooked up and popped the side mirrors on aswell. Will have more photos soon will be at it all day tommorrow. So photos

Starting to look like a car again.

Post  Stuie.91 on Sat Apr 12, 2014 10:41 pm

Got few more bits done today weather was good aswell so that helped. Started by giving it a quick clean up, then went onto doing a few bits on the dash, and started putting in the carpets, seat brackets and seatbelts should be finished soon enough.

forgot to paint these aswell so had to do them today.

Stunning, I'm so jealous, looks fantastic. You've completely resotred you're Elf in the time it's taken me to sort the rear end, and I'm not finished yet. Time for a strategy re-think.

Finally finished

Post  Stuie.91 on Sun Jun 29, 2014 3:05 pm

Hi Sorry I have been meaning to put up these last few pics for a while now, have been busy with other projects. So it is finished and has been to its first show. The dash is back in and we have made little glove box liners and painted them body colour. And put the remaining little finishing touches on.

At the Mosney Show

Nice leather interior

the boot

Boot badges on ( Found a boot badge and is like new delighted

Glove box

The finished dash

Lighter colour goes well with the blue I think

Hi Jared, yeah delighted with it came together really well and love the colour combination.

Raggerty the carpets where great fit really well, got them from newton commercial are the blue colour not the powder blue if you are wondering the shade.

Hi, Humph My dad believe it or not did the dash, completely broke it down, removed old veneer and got new rosewood veneer for it. I think it is something he should start doing as a business seem to really have a knack for it, and are'nt many people doing dash restoration any more. Especially over here in Ireland

Thanks for all the comments and replies
