Light Gaskets

Post  wcrocker on Wed Feb 24, 2016 11:03 pm

The front and rear light gaskets for my marker lights, turn signals and brake lights are all gone bad or are missing. I have seen them on eBay, but I was wondering if anyone has made their own, what material was used and what was the cost?

Thanks,
Will

The guy that sells them on Ebay would know. Rolling Eyes
It's most likely a closed cell foam or expanded rubber. You could probably find the bulk material at an auto parts store, using the old ones to figure out the thickness. I'm sure you could get it online. I usually find stuff like this at Grainger or McMaster Carr here in the states.
Something like this would probably work, and it comes in 6 inch wide rolls. http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-closed-cell-foam-sheets/=11a05li
Not sure who you would call in NS, maybe Canadian Tire?
But by the time you find it and pay for shipping and find it doesn't work and try something else and so forth, I'd just go with the Ebay ones.
