RESPRAY - PAINT COLOURS

Post  patanddavid2000 on Mon Apr 25, 2016 11:52 am

I have a two tone grey 1967 Hornet Mk3 which is having a "make-over".  All the body is now done, and the car is now waiting for a respray.  My restorer has just rung to ask if we know the original paint colours.  Can anybody help with this?

See if this works.
Paint Chart

Down on about page 20 of the chart: Looks like either Birch or Cumulus Grey with Yukon Grey roof.

Again, many thanks for your advice. I have also contacted the British Motor Heritage Trust, who I understand have all the original data. I'll let you know how it goes.

Just to let you know that the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust have confirmed that my Hornet was originally painted Yukon Grey roof, and Birch Grey underneath. They just required the chassis number and make of car. There was a small charge of £6.00. Thank you for your help.
