Introducing my 1962 Elf

Post  dnutland on Tue Feb 14, 2017 1:11 am

Hi all just to introduce you to my 62 Elf, it is the 67th Elf to be built (Fishlow267) and carries the front end number FE00003, I understand this would mean the 3rd Elf/Hornet front end assembly. it has remarkably solid floors withjust a few rust bubbles, most of the original Lucas items are dated Jan 62. It will be improved over time but for the present it is being used. David

Thanks Jaredmk3 it was a lucky and chance find, it lived outside for most of its life, just goes to prove garages are not always a good thing!

My '62 Elf should be back on the road soon (after a 30 year rest in a barn). It has never been welded or had any replacement panels and is essentially rust free! So another Mk1 to add to the list of survivors.. Julian (New Zealand)
