7.5 inch Cooper S disc and hub assemblies demand high prices as the are sort after items. Auto jumbles and eBay are good places to look but be prepared to part with several hundred pounds. You will need a new master cylinder with an increased capacity reservoir, a remote servo and new front flexible brake hoses. This is not a cheap conversion but if you are increasing the power of your Elf/Hornet, then it can be a good investment.

7.5 brakes

Post  lester on Wed Aug 26, 2009 7:14 pm

I have gone for the Fiesta set up much cheaper and i think more efficent. Check on e bay there is a firm offering the calipers and the mounting brackets for just over a £100 then all you need is the later mini hubs and metro drive flanges. Check the video on u tube on doing the conversion just put Fiesta brakes in the seearch and you should find it.
